Managing Servers
Lifeboat allows developers with a Professional License to manage multiple servers. From the "Servers" menu, select "Show Server List". The window that opens lists all saved server connections. Select one and press the Edit button to edit the connection credentials.
For convenience, there is a connect at open feature in Lifeboat. When setting up the first connection this feature is automatically configured. Open the preferences window (Edit > Options on Windows) and select a default server connection. This feature can be handy for single server users.
> Important Note About Configuration Storage
Lifeboat stores the server configuration details in database locally on your computer!
Unfortunately due to the early history of Lifeboat the software is not able to read the config files from the remote server. To protect the server from misconfiguration and runaway web app instances Lifeboat will not try to manage a server that it doesn't recognize.
This means that you CANNOT delete a server connection and then re-establish it later!
To manage a server with more than one machine Lifeboat needs to keep the local database in sync. Super Simple Sync can help you keep your local database in sync.
