Fonts

The fonts tool offers a simple interface to list, install, and remove fonts.

Fonts are listed by family name. Expand a row to show the styles for that font family. Next to the style name in parenthesis is the file on disk that provides that font family and style. It is possible to have multiple styles provided by the same file on disk, and deleting a file may remove multiple styles at once.

Installing Fonts

To install a font, click the [ + ] button below the font list. Select the font files on your local machine to upload to the server. Lifeboat will upload the fonts and re-cache the font listing.

This is done without leaving the font list view and no progress bar will appear. To minimize confusion Lifeboat limits font uploads to 25 files in one pass.

Removing Fonts

To remove a font, expand a family and select a style. With a style selected click the [ - ] button below the font list. A confirmation dialog will appear reiterating the file on disk that will be deleted.

The remove button will not be enabled if an entire font family is selected, an individual style (file on disk) must be selected. This button state may be hard to see on macOS.

Note that it is possible to have multiple styles provided by the same file on disk, and deleting a file may remove multiple styles at once.
