CubeSQL
This tool helps install, start, and stop CubeSQL Server. With permission from SQLabs, Lifeboat is built to download and use the official installer to setup CubeSQL Server.
External Firewall Access
For security, by default the firewall software will be blocking external access to CubeSQL Server. To allow CubeSQL Admin to connect, External Firewall Access must be opened.
Lifeboat reads the port that a running instance of CubeSQL Server is listening on, so CubeSQL must be running to change this setting.
When intentionally stopping CubeSQL Server from the Database Tools view, Lifeboat will automatically close the External Firewall Access port in the event that it remains open.
Changing the Port
First, change the port from the official control panel software. After clicking Save in CubeSQL Admin, use Lifeboat to close External Firewall Access, then stop and re-start CubeSQL Server.
Upon starting up again, CubeSQL Server will use the updated port setting. Lifeboat should display the new port in the status field. If necessary, restore External Firewall Access for CubeSQL Admin.
